Black Beans – How to Cook

Rinse the beans under cold water and place in a medium sauce pan.  Cover with water by two inches.  Bring the water to a boil, lower heat to simmer and cover with a lid.  Simmer for 1 hour and 20 minutes.  Test for doneness and when soft add 1 Tablespoon Sea Salt.  Cook for 10 minutes more.  Drain the beans and rinse under cold water.  Let cool completely.
